Hello,

Now the person with the thicker skin wins! We all agree, someone here wanted to make quick money and cash out even faster. That’s what I call a black sheep. If you as the victim are not afraid of the craftsman, break off contact or don’t get in touch with him anymore and don’t pay anything. Then find a new professional and hope you have better luck.

Let us know who had the thicker skin.

Regards

Unfortunately, that is bad advice, because then the "right" is on the side of the *ahem* "craftsman": refusal to allow rectification, subsequently (as soon as the "new professional" has started his work) destruction of the evidence of improper execution - at least in court it is unfortunately clear who has the thicker skin :-(

However, I would also not pay, but demand multiple repairs (3 times, as far as I know) each time with exact sufficient deadlines in writing and verifiably (registered letter or similar) with exact dates (i.e., a period of about 2 to 3 weeks from the writing date). And then cultivate my thick skin. Assigning the repair myself can only take place sometime later.

But especially when the defect is clearly a defect due to the defined tolerances, one should argue exactly with that. All the better if he started with it. That way, it hits with a much more impactful, not to say relevant effect.
