Redesign the facade including windows, garage door, and front door

hello,
I am completely new here and hope it’s okay to come straight away with a question!
We have bought a house and are now considering what type and color the windows should be. The windows will all be kompl Now the question: bars yes/no? Color of the windows outside? House color? Transom on the windows? (I find it practical so you don’t have to clear off the windowsill every time!)
In the new buildings now you see almost everything in anthracite. That fits well there and we like it too. But does it also fit the older house? The middle part is from 1912, but has already been remodeled many times so you can only guess by the dormers! Maybe someone has an idea and could give me a few suggestions! Unfortunately I’m bad with Photoshop otherwise I would have tested several variants and slipped in different windows!

Well, in the end you have to know for yourselves what you like. Since the roof is also anthracite, I would design the front door and windows in the same color and make the facade a bit more colorful, maybe in a lighter yellow or whatever you like. I would design the windows and door to match the old building, so the door not too modern. Mullions are nice, but not a must for me. Transom windows, on the other hand, definitely are. We have those everywhere and they are great. Our house from 1921 also has anthracite-colored windows with transom windows, but without mullions. I think the balconies are ok with the dark wood; I would adapt the left balcony accordingly. I would definitely spruce up the house with plants, so plants in balcony boxes. It looks completely different in summer, especially since you don’t have a garden or even a lawn in front. In winter you can plant heather or other winter plants like Christmas roses, or you can simply put fir greenery in the boxes. In any case, something like that makes a big difference, at least I think so. Also, beautiful climbing roses on a trellis on the facade can work wonders.

i would definitely make the railing light. also the windows, because in my opinion that otherwise doesn’t fit the store profile/awning.
also i like painted/colored plastered frames around the windows, although that probably wouldn’t look good anymore with the different window sizes.
still, i would somehow try to make it more uniform, currently it’s quite a hodgepodge.
do you have any specifications regarding the color design of the facade?
