Have you ever had windows or doors moved as well?
Of course, not just once casually, but also here in coordination with >Someone who knows about it. Extending a lintel downward is easier than moving something, but I wouldn’t even think that far yet.
I know a young man who is in the situation that he shows me what would be nice but then buys the next inappropriate rubbish and is unhappy with it; he has no real feel for colors and shapes.
With your next project, it will already be different.......
If I don’t manage it, I will gladly take your advice and get help. I do want to feel comfortable and not constantly complain about what would have been better if done differently, etc.
I also find it completely unimportant whether I live in a “city villa” or an “architect’s house,” because both can be rubbish or great (I read a general praise for the “city villa” from you elsewhere). The floor plan and furnishing have to suit you, and what happens outside should initially be secondary, above all, there shouldn’t be any forced type houses or labels dominating.
We are probably in the wrong thread here, but with you I have read a lot that can be wonderfully implemented solely through clever furnishing/design, for example, the bench seat with its back to the bar. But here too, it is true that you can make it super chic or turn it into a living drama; that can happen very quickly—
It is rather positive if you recognize that you don’t have certain talents and bring someone in for this area.
Maybe you will open a separate thread specifically about this topic.
