This is only the first step, which has already been implemented in the current active and passive components. In some cable networks, such as in the Benelux countries, they are even further along, see below.... that the cable networks will foreseeably be expanded up to 1006 MHz.
40 dB attenuation in addition to the input selection of a multiswitch or a tap splitter reliably prevents interference and intermodulation. There are also special single-cable matrices from JULTEC (with the designation X for selected cable network operators), which avoid frequency collisions and DVB-C programs are not affected. Vodafone has switched off FM in the KDG network, and until this also happens in the former KBW or Unitymedia networks, it is only a matter of time. Link: DOCSIS 3.1, Fig.2.Couldn’t one, for example, install an Axing TZU 198-62 low-pass filter or something better/equivalent in the cable feed? This would block cable frequencies from 950 MHz upwards and one would have no trouble in the satellite feed. It is clear that some cable programs would then be lost. However, I currently only use cable for some FM tuners.
