This is only the first step, which has already been implemented in the current active and passive components. In some cable networks, such as in the Benelux countries, they are even further along, see below. 40 dB attenuation in addition to the input selection of a multiswitch or a tap splitter reliably prevents interference and intermodulation. There are also special single-cable matrices from JULTEC (with the designation X for selected cable network operators), which avoid frequency collisions and DVB-C programs are not affected. Vodafone has switched off FM in the KDG network, and until this also happens in the former KBW or Unitymedia networks, it is only a matter of time. Link: DOCSIS 3.1, Fig.2.

Yes, that's right. I had to set up a 5-euro Dbox2 with Neutrino for my mother in northern Germany as an "FM tuner"
