Hello, is the Rationell drawer divider system only available for the long standard drawers?

I haven't found any for the short drawers on the website or in the store!

Of course, you could now saw off the aluminum profiles yourself and pull out this pressed plastic end piece, but that's not the point,

Overall, I like the Ikea modular system, but for a purchased finished kitchen you have to do a lot of work and adjustments yourself, saw cover panels and side panels, drill holes for handles, drill mounting holes in glass doors, and so on... I find this partly very negative. Inexperienced DIYers can forget about assembling it alone...

What I find worst is that in the Faktum tall cabinet you have to shorten the finishing panel that is in the middle of the cabinet above the 2 appliances yourself to 72mm! In the visible area, so a sawed-off panel... that has to be 100% perfect, otherwise it looks really bad. Almost impossible to do yourself, only with professional saws at best... Why aren't there prefabricated strips for this?

The dimensions of the appliances are too different. If you take one or two parts to the carpenter and have them cut to size, that’s not such a huge effort. You should have a bit of enjoyment of manual work if you want to set up a fitted kitchen yourself.

Hi,

how nice that there is always something to complain about. I have marked the points where I can’t quite follow. Finished kitchen? Where does Ikea talk about a finished kitchen? It is ALWAYS communicated that all parts are flat packed so you can transport them home yourself. On the topic of cutting fitting strips and drilling holes. Of course, you could also produce pre-drilled doors and fitting strips once at 2.8 cm and for the next customer at 4.3 cm. However, this is so specific that prices at Ikea would skyrocket to very sensitive heights due to the various production lines, and nobody would want to pay for that anymore. What do you think is the reason why most kitchens in kitchen studios are so expensive? Not because they are of gigantic quality but because all "special requests" have to be manufactured individually. That is simply expensive and also takes quite a long time. Where exactly do you have to drill mounting holes in glass doors??? And on the topic of the strip above the appliances. It is the same here, there are appliances of different sizes, so this strip has to be adjusted. Which in your case is obviously not wrong. For Ikea appliances the panel would only have to be shortened to 8 cm. If a panel were manufactured to your measurement you would wait weeks or months for it and possibly pay as much as for the entire cabinet. You have already gotten the tip with the carpenter. Otherwise, a normal jigsaw also works, stick masking tape on the board, and cut carefully by hand. And anyone who doesn't trust themselves at all can also order the Ikea assembly service.

You have already received a competent answer regarding the divider systems as well. By now there are simply no more dividers for these drawers. For a 60 cm drawer 35 cm deep, you can place the white basic cutlery trays crosswise. For 40 cm drawers then take these small gray cutlery trays. For the pull-outs below with "rails" you can use the normal dividers, the depth is basically irrelevant there.

Now enjoy your new stylish Ikea kitchen. And if a friend or family member needs help assembling their new Ikea kitchen, you can step in as an expert. :D

Regards

Nayla
