Hi

leaving it like that won't do, it will eventually rust.

No liability insurance will cover that, the repair kit only costs a few euros and it's fixed quickly.

Hello. *sorry for misusing this thread* I also have a flat shower tray (90*90), there are 2 chips visible. If it were acrylic: would that spot rust? I once got paint for acrylic shower trays and sprayed it on. However, it doesn't last very long. And it looks as if it would rust, the 2 spots. How can I find out if it is a steel or acrylic tub? P.S. it was already very heavy.

An acrylic tub does not rust. You probably have steel.

Recognizable just by the weight - lightweight versus heavy metal

Hello everyone,

I didn’t want to start a new thread, but some time ago I noticed a paint chip on the edge of our bathtub. I was totally confused because we have had the tub since we moved in about 1.5 years ago and have only used it a few times to wash hair. It has never been used for bathing.

We then bought paint from the hardware store and applied it.

Today I noticed another chipped spot. The tub is less than 2 years old.

Can I claim the tub (purchased via the plumbing of the general contractor) or do I have to live with it because it does not affect the function as such.

It is a Kaldewei Cayono Duo bathtub. As far as I know, made of steel enamel.

I have attached a picture. What do you think?

What are you trying to complain about? You probably broke it yourselves, didn't you?
