Wow, thanks already for the answers. Attached is a picture so we all know what I mean.. as far as I see it, this is part of the house and therefore under warranty.. The 600 euros are not a rumor. I can gladly upload the offer. Looking forward to feedback

Why should it not be a fixed component of the house?!
An outlet or a window handle is as well, even though you could replace them. It was installed by the general contractor.

Nevertheless, I don't believe it falls under the warranty.
Take a look at your contract, the exceptions are written there.
In my opinion or knowledge, some components only have a 2-year warranty, specifically those that are constantly in use and exposed to other influences such as human or wind forces (or for example silicone joints due to aging of the material).

Our contract says absolutely nothing about defects. So far, all existing defects have been eliminated. But here he is very resistant.

And the fact that a silicone joint is a maintenance joint goes without saying.

This is also not a construction defect, but rather a defect caused by strain and/or use.
A construction defect is a different category.

The offer is really something. One piece of assembly/repair but billing by effort ... yeah, sure, it doesn’t get more non-transparent than that. So the one piece of assembly ends up costing double or what? If he wants to bill by effort, then the hourly rate has to be set. Or he makes a flat rate (one piece ...). Although €330 net for assembly ... that’s two people for three hours each at €55 net per hour. Quite a hassle for such a broken little band, right? I would get another offer.
