30 minutes to Leipzig city center.
Was a stroke of luck - for us at least.

I would say it's a gift. A forum without dialect also has something. Otherwise, I would have known long ago where you come from [emoji2]

These are subsidized offers in dead areas. Even the development is hardly feasible under €30/sqm. You just pay the price through the loss of value that occurs with the initial occupancy. Deceptive.

Where do you get this wisdom from?

I'll undercut with 16.15 EUR/sqm... a developed gap in an "old" side street (not a new development area) in a 3,000-inhabitant community in Upper Lusatia... far east. It's 300 meters to the grandchildren's daycare, about 200 meters to the pharmacy, 15 minutes to work, I quickly picked up a document from my own registry office just before work (of course without registration and waiting time). When my new ID card was ready, the employee slipped me a note for information in the mailbox on her way home. It's at least 800 meters to the butcher and baker... everyone there is addressed by name! Life is also a bit risky there... because the baker has the tastiest cream puffs I've ever eaten ;-). We even have a train station and a small cinema. When my husband wants to go to physio, he just crosses the street in slippers. What else... Spaka, post office branch, supermarket, school, nursing homes, 14 clubs, village festival, fisherman's festival, Oktoberfest, bathing lakes, bike paths... and very nice neighbors.. Last year 26 children were born, about the same as the year before.. the daycare is now expanding because it is getting tight.. Best regards from the Profinz.. Steffi
