We are having difficulties assembling Besta. We have it as a drawer cabinet with the full extension drawers Inreda. In 50% of the drawers, it already scratches when inserting into the rails. Can anyone help us? Everything is level and the rails are properly installed.

Ditto! Today we were at Ikea with this problem and according to the quality manager there, that can't be. They gave us a new drawer and that was that... but nothing is okay – it rubs as well. So 3 out of 3 drawers rub, and in such a way that everything gets scratched. I had really hoped that someone here would know something!?!

Hello,

I bought 8 full-extension runners and all 8 showed the same problem as described here. This is because the grooves into which the bottom panel is inserted are not properly milled. The wood of the full-extension runners is generally of very poor quality. When you have assembled the drawers, simultaneously tap on the side panels of the full-extension runner from the left and right with your hand. Then the drawer should open and close without scratching or grinding.

I managed by not using both parts for the rail on one side. The part with the telescopic function can also be attached that way. The omitted part apparently only serves as a spacer and as an extension for using the rear holes.

You can also leave out the middle screw that holds the rails together - most of the time it is the one that grinds. (Tighten all the others well). The rails are already connected by the front screw. At Ikea in Berlin-Tempelhof, the full extensions in the showroom incidentally have suspicious scratches on at least one cabinet^^

This is simply because the screws from the rail and the side wall are not tightened properly. They need to be flush with the rail. So, just check the screws again and the problem should be solved. If not, then check the screws on the drawer once again. Maybe they are also not fully tightened.
