The MSCI World is the opposite of diversified stocks. If the current tech stocks (Meta, Facebook, Amazon, Tesla, Microsoft) go downhill at some point, then the nice profit will be over as well. A new tech company in the field of AI can appear at any time and snatch customers away from the others. I warn against investing only in such tech funds. Are all companies from Silicon Valley that are included in it really worth it? I hardly believe so…

If a new super-tech company comes along, it is of course included in the MSCI World and you benefit from it. The ETF replicates the index.

Whereas more correct would be *

I basically agree with you regarding your thread about ETFs etc., but this is not correct. The house is, independent of the sale, always worth as much as you would otherwise have to pay in rent if it did not belong to you.

Rather not. Most World ETFs are over 50% USA. China is not included. A super-tech company is, for example, Tencent. It is not included.

That is correct. However, the question is how much influence a Chinese company can ever have on the Western market. As long as there are such tensions between the West and China, the West will predominantly rely on its own global players. Therefore, I view the negative influence of Chinese companies on the MSCI World relatively calmly.

EDIT: Don't get me wrong, of course there are also many large companies from China with many products in the West, but they are 1. partly sanctioned and 2. so far it hasn't really harmed the MSCI World, so why should it in the future?!

In any case, it is not very understandable why the risk with individual stocks and ETFs is viewed the same way by some.
