Since we are currently in the process of implementing our house construction project, the question arose whether we should plan a house connection for a diesel generator (emergency power generator). Has anyone implemented something like this? The energy supply will not become more reliable in the coming years...

No. If it takes longer and is regional, the THW, Bundeswehr, or the fire department will already set up generators, gymnasiums, fire stations, parish halls as emergency shelters.
If it lasts long and is supraregional, lack of power is probably the smaller problem.

Don't forget the bunker and/or the panic room in your planning :-p

Well then, just quickly download a few episodes from Prime/Netflix onto the tablet and you're prepared. I just checked my tablet: 4 episodes of Bibi and Tina are available offline. Good thing I'm not expecting a power outage :)

I am surprised how often the power goes out for some people here. I can't remember that we've ever had a power outage here before.
