Maybe you could try using lightweight concrete cladding. But it might be too heavy for the gypsum fiber boards. Don’t want them to come down again.

Double drywall makes a small noticeable difference. Our children's rooms facing the main street have double drywall sheets, the living rooms below do not. It is less, but not enough to apply it afterwards as the sole measure.

That would look very odd. I would rather double up one wall with Fermacell and apply Hawaphon in between.
