Hello dear ones,
we have been looking for a house for a while since ours is too big and we can no longer manage the work (very old half-timbered house now about 80% renovated in case someone is looking :-D). Now we have found one, a prefabricated house built in 1984 with wooden frame construction, but unfortunately there seem to be pollutants lurking there. Only the indoor air in 2 rooms as well as the house dust and a short, not meaningful radon analysis have been tested. The realtor said we only need to remove the tongue and groove boards in the attic and the old furniture and carpets, then everything would be fine. However, I have now read the lab analysis and I find it says something different (chipboards of the wall, ceiling and floor construction as well as the beams). Is there maybe someone here to whom I can send this and who can read through it quickly?
Kind of desperate greetings
Barbara

I would contact the company directly. Otherwise, have the elements checked by a building surveyor.

Thank you very much, we are, among other things, of course working on that as well.

This can and should usually be safely ignored when it comes to the estimated costs for the repair of damages Can you upload it here? Otherwise: google the substances and "indoor air concentration" or if necessary also "maximum workplace concentration". State health authorities or the Federal Environment Agency offer good information here (Sorry, links are not allowed here)

Agents are an inexhaustible source of unreliable fortune cookie sayings. And the entire rest of the industry draws its assumed competence from the one percent who actually know the subject. Formaldehyde, lindane, and harmful substances alone are enough as keywords to find a whole jumbo family pack of relevant threads via forum search.
