That is nonsense. Demolition costs have two main components: the dismantling or demolition and the disposal of the debris. The latter is more expensive the less purely the debris is sorted and the more problematic substances it contains. For example, asbestos or wood preservatives are more specific to the year of construction than to the type of construction.
