Position of the drain in a floor-level shower

Hello everyone,

should I place the drain in a level, tiled shower with a slope towards the middle or rather against the wall? The shower will be 1x1m in size.

The middle is the worst: then you stand in a "funnel," and the angled cuts of the floor tiles (which are not clean miters anyway because of the slope) run towards it. So either a slope in one dimension and the drain in the middle of the wall side, or a slope in two dimensions and the drain in the corner.

In the picture, you can clearly see an elegant solution to the problem that due to the slope there are "more than right angles" at the joining points of the tiles for the four funnel segments: simply split the tiles again.

We will install a stainless steel channel that will be tiled at the edge of the wall. It should also be easy to clean.
