Plot of land - Can you still build today without a developer?

The developers simply have the appropriate contacts. There are people there who do almost nothing all day but acquire land.

They are hot and fast, but rather not clever and diligent. Therefore, they are no competition by alternative means.

Previous property search was done via the known internet portals and the municipalities. Do you have any tips on other ways to get land?
