Hello dear community,
first of all, many thanks for the many posts on the thread. I was on a business trip for 2 days, hence the silence.
I work about 30km outside Leipzig, so for us (regardless of prices) living more on the outskirts or in the commuter belt makes more sense. By commuter belt I mean everything where you can reach the city in 20-30 minutes by car.
In my opinion, this is the area where the "average person" can still buy. But the fact is, the demand is there. Prices per sqm already range between 100 - 250 €/sqm and large plots (800sqm-1500sqm) with a good layout are rare.
Yes, of course ... you have to accept some compromises. I agree with you there. A farmhouse close to the center with prices like in the middle of nowhere won't exist. So the challenge is to find a good middle ground. Currently, I find the biggest challenge is finding suitable plots.
But I take away:
1. stay at it and be patient
2. drive around, look, use contacts and talk to people
3. developers don’t have to be bad ... I will take a look at a few more
Thanks so far.
Regards, Martin
