How do you see it? After all, it's very cheap. 230m² plot plus 150m² house for half a million. A bargain.
I can't say anything about the price: we also had a terraced house (mentioned here several times) with 249 sqm: that was okay. A house 7 meters wide on a 10.5 meter wide plot.
On the terrace side (west side) there was a total of 7 meters of garden in depth... 2.5 meters for the terrace, leaving 4.5 meters of lawn. I also had many flower beds to give structure to the garden.
The front garden was about 4 meters deep. Here too we had a breakfast terrace sheltered by a 70s cemetery hedge.
The cars were parked on the street or under the carport 150 meters away.
Now we have 650 sqm and everything that bothered us back then is done differently: with a big courtyard (no narrow driveway where you can park sideways to clean your car), huge terrace, many south-facing windows that we didn't have at all back then, and of course a generous garden area.
Still, back then it was our dream property: affordable, not too many rooms, lots of glass, many skylights, underfloor heating, spacious layout, two balconies (I still remember how proud we were – later we realized you don't really use them, they just cause extra work).
It's always better than an apartment. And for us, the repayment of an average terraced house is still cheaper right now than renting such a house or a comparable rental apartment.
