Please evaluate the payment plan

I don't know if this is more common in the corporate sector, but for the companies I manage, I occasionally have outstanding items exceeding 5% from the security withholdings, which are then payable after 5 years if they have not been replaced in the meantime by a warranty bond.

Yes, and does this also exist in the wild in connection with the purchase or construction of a home? Unfortunately, I only know of one single construction/purchase project and there is the warranty bond. I would have liked to withhold cash as well. Spontaneously, critical as I am, the question arises whether the financing bank then fully pays out the loan or rather sees the withholding as part of the loan. Are there any experiences with this? (Five years of commitment interest? Five years of no repayment? *Playing devil’s advocate*)
