Plastic windows in anthracite versus white

My contractor had calculated a surcharge of €2250 for 13 windows only foiled on the outside in anthracite. Before signing.

That is probably another good example of how many contractors profit from "extra wishes."

For comparison: We get our windows directly from the window manufacturer. Surcharge for foiling the outside in anthracite between €22 (standard windows) and €32 (floor-to-ceiling windows) net. Double-leaf, of course, correspondingly double.

@HilfeHilfe: Just drive through new residential areas and look at various houses. I think white windows look cheap. But that is a personal opinion! Otherwise, all I can say is: Get advice from a professional.

my parents installed brown windows 30 years ago. The frames are very faded, even on the north side.

I don't know to what extent the technology has improved, but I think that colored window frames fade eventually.
