readytorumble is very right.
Filling is something that either comes naturally to you or you get desperate. Sanding the ceiling with a giraffe sander really wears out your arms and to get a smooth result, you must neither apply uneven pressure nor put the sander down too often. About the paint: I consider it advisable to try to get professional paint, which is now possible via the internet. The Sto program, for example, is not more expensive than hardware store stuff, but covers 10 times better. Maleco as well. Setta is also very high quality. Caparol too.
Only: 108 sqm house. Filling and sanding ceilings, repairing wall flaws. Filling wet room walls. Covering these with fiberglass. The rest primed plus paint. Acrylic joints. Stucco moldings on the ceiling, 60 sqm vinyl laid, 60 m Dölken baseboard glued, previously leveling compound and primer and brick-sand finish. 3 people. Two trained, one student assistant, me, 150 hours. 50 per person. So it’s not just a quick thing. And we didn’t do anything particularly time-consuming. Karsten

Super, first of all thanks for the many answers.
First, as you can see in my current profile picture, there is no house yet. It was a request so that we could calculate the loan. We were aware that it would be somewhat more expensive; the company is known for that.

Therefore, it is of course possible that they simply listed all eventualities, like filling.
If the mason does his job properly, it should already have a certain smoothness, right..?
We have not yet asked any questions about the offer - so no idea why he wants to apply a primer twice.

We are considering whether we really want the fleece.
Painting twice also initially seemed unnecessary to us - but we are not painters and all the walls we have painted so far already had several layers of paint on them...

Filling ourselves? No thanks, if at all, then at most painting ourselves and that only as an emergency solution. We are not craftsmen and will (gladly) pay a fair price for the necessary work - provided we can judge what is fair and what is exaggerated.

So thanks for the price comparison

Have you informed the painting company about the construction method of your house?

He only needs to fill/sand drywall. Everything that is built solidly with masonry is plastered. And if it has been properly plastered, nothing more needs to be filled. Of course, plastering is not exactly cheap either.

Then you need to consider whether you want all the walls/ceilings to be smooth at all. If you want texture somewhere, the plasterer can do that directly. Then it only needs to be primed and painted.

This is a matter of division of labor. We were also advised to have the painter do the sanding (target Q3). Although the plasterer can also do this, the painter usually finds something to complain about and corrects it afterward. Therefore, the recommendation is to have the plasterer complete Q2 and assign the sanding to the painter for Q3. Then there will be no dispute.

Filling, for example, also occurs with filigree ceilings and is therefore not exclusive to drywall.
