Hello everyone,

I am currently busy with renovating the living room.
Now there are 2 small spots that worry me a bit.
At one spot, about 30cm, a strip cable is laid that is only minimally covered by plaster.
At another spot, the empty conduit ends about 5 cm before the distribution box. Here, 5 individual wires lie in the plaster.

Are there serious safety risks here?
What can happen if everything stays like this?

Thank you in advance.

As long as the insulation is intact, nothing will happen.

The use of flat cables (NYIF) is permitted in dry rooms according to DIN VDE 0100-520, section 521.7.2.3. The cable must be laid entirely in or under plaster. They must be covered along their entire length with plaster at least 10 mm thick. Flat cables must not be laid on combustible materials, such as wooden beams. Bundling of flat cables is not permitted and fastening must be done with appropriate means such as gypsum plaster, adhesives, or nails with insulating washers. Installation on wire mesh or expanded metal is prohibited. Laying under plasterboard panels is only permitted if the panels are fastened not with screws but with gypsum plaster.

This is what the electrical trade says about it. What you make of it is up to you.
