I was opposed to it - I don't like it. It was always too thorny for me (presumably there are now also varieties that have no thorns) and used to be too worm-eaten quite often.

We have blackberries, but not as a hedge
Without worms and without thorns I am currently processing the harvest into jelly - a good relaxation ritual

Of course, one should familiarize oneself with the different varieties. With plants, and I also include raspberries in this, there are new breeds that have gained many advantages.

I simply meant wild blackberry - I didn’t get to know it better either, only the chipper
