Hello everyone,

what dimensions do the niches you have planned for wardrobes, coat cupboards, etc. have?

I ask because we are currently facing decisions by the centimeter in this regard. For the kitchen, we received a concrete number from the kitchen studio (niche depth 63cm). However, we lack an exact centimeter figure for the wardrobe and similar.

How should the niches be planned as standardized as possible?

Thanks!

at least hanger width. If you have oversized feet, then the shoe size
Seriously: I would calculate with a standard size of 60cm + cleaning + 1cm tolerance.

A 60cm niche seems almost too small to me. Pax, for example, has a depth of 66cm with sliding doors...

Is there (no) standard dimension for such a niche?

The carcass is 66cm or including the door? You have to roughly know beforehand what you want. Simple hooks and a bench underneath to store shoes? Or a cabinet system with or without a sliding door... They all have different depths. Better build a bit deeper to be open to all options later. Because nothing looks more modest than a carcass that sticks out of a niche made specifically for it.

PAX with sliding doors 66cm deep. Carcass alone 58cm, with hinged doors 60cm.

I feared that they all have different depths, but hoped that it might be somewhat more uniform like with kitchens or at least a standard size for niches that you can use without worries...

Well, it usually revolves around 60cm. You can, to stick with Ikea, have a look at Platsa. There, the deeper carcass is 55cm deep and with the door accordingly 57-60cm. Metod, actually Ikea's kitchen cabinet system, is also used by many here as a wardrobe/coat closet, it has exactly 60cm depth, with the front accordingly 2-3cm more.
