Yes, that's right. I was once looking for a room-dividing shelf. About 1.5x2m MDF painted white. Offers ranged from 4,000-8,000 EUR. In the end, it was the Berlin shelf from Home24 for 500 EUR. This "Support your local dealer" thing is nice in theory, but if I had to quintuple my net salary in practice, I just can't. Of course, I could have looked a bit further away. I suspect there is a gradient between the city of Berlin and the Brandenburg countryside, but back then I had no car to take a closer look at the province...

Yeah, of course it would be nice to take the time now and calmly look for a wardrobe, closet, kids' room cabinet, etc. Unfortunately, tiles, sinks, lights, floors, ... blah blah blah still need to be chosen...
