Because the slope would be created directly with the wooden beam ceiling, one could probably save on the slope insulation and thus gain a few centimeters...

Something completely different.

The following is written in the requirements for green roofs.

"Excluded from green roofing are walkable roof terraces, glazed areas, and technical and other structures..."

This raises some questions for me. Maybe complete nonsense, but I am a layman in this field. :)

Is it possible to equip a garage with a flat roof with a standing seam roof?
If yes, what roof pitch would then apply here? Also 2%? Could height be gained this way? How does it look regarding waterproofing here?

Would this then be considered "other structures" and green roofing would be omitted?

I saw the following picture in this regard.

I believe this is more about the fact that you don't have to overgreen your heat pump on the garage roof or skylight. Possibly through a flat (=not elevated) photovoltaic system. I rather don't see an exemption under "other" due to an intentionally unsuitable roof. I would see an exemption sooner through a fully glazed roof or a shed roof with a 16-degree transverse slope.

How much space do you have between the house and garage and what does it look like towards the neighboring property? Could the necessary height be gained downwards here possibly with a knee-high retaining wall?

That can of course be the case :)

The garage should directly adjoin the house.

We had an appointment today with our caseworker (building authority). We are now allowed to build the garage 3.00 m high at the height of the planned terrain.

The ceiling slab is to be about 200 mm thick. For the green roofing and the slope insulation (2% slope), our general contractor is currently planning with 355 mm.

Now, the attached drawing shows a garage that is 45 mm too high. Ideally, I would like to save those 45 mm at the top of the parapet. According to the general contractor, we probably need at least 150 mm of space between the slope insulation and the top edge of the parapet regarding the roof sealing. However, I could not find a guideline on this immediately.

Just give the garage (floor and ceiling) a slope, i.e. let the car park with a "slope"...

Give the entire ceiling a slope, then the car only has 2.45 m of height "in the front" ;-)

I'm slowly too old for a 4-minute short editing time, maybe I need to find a slower forum...

The attached "regulations" according to flat roof guidelines I found on the internet. Then again, I find images online where the gravel bed or the green roof is installed almost flush with the parapet. Has anyone had experience with this?
