Hello,
I am currently planning my new Ikea kitchen and have a problem with the planning of the 211cm tall cabinet, into which an oven and directly above it a microwave are to be installed.
In the pictures of the mentioned tall cabinets with doors or drawers, I always see that the lower doors/drawers are flush with the other base cabinets. However, in the 3D planning tool, I see a gap at the height of a drawer front. If I install an IKEA oven, the oven’s bottom edge is thus at the height of the base cabinet fronts. But this is not what I want. The oven’s bottom edge should practically be at the height of the drawer fronts! Accordingly, the fronts should also be dimensioned.
I wouldn’t see a problem if I had chosen a straight front without decorations, but with Lidingö it is difficult to simply shorten the fronts and put edge banding on.
The question now is, can I install a normal oven, which also fits in the normal IKEA base cabinet, into such a tall cabinet with microwave and get the fronts to fit properly?
Regards
