In the course of the new construction, we want to install a photovoltaic system on the roof. Roof area approx. 160 sqm, roof pitch 25 degrees, gable roof, one side facing northeast and the other southwest. Since we are both civil servants, and unfortunately income from photovoltaic systems requires approval and can later be deducted from the pension, feed-in remuneration is out of the question for us! The system should therefore only reduce our electricity load. We will have a geothermal heat pump with a ground probe and a 300l water tank as heating, as well as a ventilation system. The house is planned as KFW 55 (no longer possible due to the basement). Since I am at home from noon, appliances such as washing machine and dryer, dishwasher and co will mainly be used during the day. In addition, we live in an area with above-average few bad weather days and above-average many sunny days even in winter. We do not want a storage system at first, even if we then obviously sometimes give away electricity. However, as soon as these become cheaper, one should be retrofitted.

How should the system be dimensioned for us?

Huh... what is that about the feed-in tariff and the pension? I've never heard of it. Can you explain it?

1. For the exemption limit contained in § 14a BeamtVG, income must also be taken into account that does not arise from gainful economic activity that significantly burdens the labor capacity of the retired civil servant.

2. Income from the operation of a photovoltaic system constitutes income from commercial operations within the meaning of § 53 para. 7 BeamtVG.

One is always considered an entrepreneur in civil service law if electricity from a photovoltaic system is fed in.... This income is deducted from the pension above an allowance...

Ok, I didn't know that yet. But that only really becomes important when you are retired... or am I misunderstanding that?!
