Photovoltaic system + storage with or without cloud tariff

Everyone is allowed to calculate, weigh, decide, think, ... however they want on this topic. We have an air-to-water heat pump with photovoltaic and storage. Our electricity consumption in April was 11kWh. When I then see electricity prices from others here, I know why it is talked about this way: we pay over 31ct/kWh (incl. tax), others apparently only 17ct for the heat pump...

Whether the storage is worthwhile can be easily calculated with your own assumptions. These assumptions are:

Now you calculate: "assumed battery capacity" x "charging cycles per year" x "delta purchase price to feed-in tariff" x "assumed usage duration in years" and compare that with the costs. Whether it is worthwhile or not, you can now weigh it yourself and, as with any purchase, also include non-financial considerations in the decision such as:

In the end, it is a simple decision where you cannot go very wrong: How beautiful life is does not depend on any battery.
