Many calculate with a constant electricity consumption as if one would turn on the consumers at home obediently one after the other. Those who need more electricity in the morning, for example because they start household appliances for washing and dishwashing and use the vacuum cleaner, etc., also often use the battery during the months with high production and especially in the transitional periods. This increases the number of charging cycles. Those who assume 100 or fewer charging cycles per year must conclude that a battery is not worthwhile. The monitoring of an acquaintance shows 260 charging cycles per year. Here, the storage operates economically. Whether this will be the case for you can only be determined if you deal with the habits in the house. If the energy consultant has done this, you can believe him.

Hello everyone, so the energy consultant considers hot water preparation through photovoltaics to be okay. However, he also clearly said that one should not expect too much. Anyone who believes they will be completely independent from their energy provider is mistaken. According to his calculator, it will be a wash. It will only become interesting again when a) electricity prices rise and b) battery storage prices fall.

What is a zero issue and why should one load the storage... Either the energy consultant doesn't know what he is talking about or you are misrepresenting it.

It will come. Both. I have already dealt with some who are familiar with the electricity market, etc., as suppliers or professionally involved. Many calculate photovoltaics with 1% p.a. Some with 3% or 5%. The suppliers expect an increase to 5%-10% p.a. Just a suggestion. We consumers don’t have a crystal ball, neither for interest rates nor for electricity prices...

I would really like to see this calculation. (Seriously) If the storage system was not given away through a subsidy program, it is simply not possible.

260 charge cycles, that would be unusually many. Or is the error in the details, e.g. due to a much too small memory, or are not even complete (!) charge cycles meant?
