Pay attention to small details in planning: towel radiator, etc.

Hello everyone,

often it is small details that ultimately have a big impact on quality of life and are very easily forgotten during planning. What small details should definitely be considered during planning?

For example, a towel radiator for the bathroom? Proven or not?
Or a central switch for the electric blinds? Useful or not?
Pre-planning empty conduits for the air conditioning or not?

Surely you have many more ideas that builders should already think about during planning.

Best regards

We already have a thread for that. It’s called: „Was würde ich beim nächsten Hausbau anders machen“

The thread is indeed very interesting. Thanks therefore for the hint.

But I have the impression it is about different things. The other thread is mainly not about small matters, but about double garages, controlled residential ventilation, forgotten cellars, etc. And it is about what was regretted having been forgotten.

Here it is really about small things that do not immediately cost tens of thousands of euros and also not necessarily about something that was forgotten, but also about what other builders enjoy or would enjoy if they had thought of it.

Burglary security would also come to my mind as a topic. Or rimless toilets yes or no. Directly a custom-made washbasin cabinet or not?

Yes, and that has already happened too:

Central switch for roller shutters definitely nice to have, everyone as they want. I laugh at people who don’t build new but that’s just my opinion.

All kinds of pipes for e.g. air conditioning or underfloor heating in the garage/winter garden can be provided, don’t cost much and if you need them then great and if not then no problem.

Towel heating everyone as they want.

Window contacts I think are great, also a motor lock on the front door.

Alarm system and water pipe shut-off when locking the house twice.

Timed roller shutters.

Eaves lighting.

Electric roller shutters on roof windows.

Laundry chute if washing machine is in the basement.

But everyone has to decide for themselves.
