Hello readers I am new here and have two questions about parquet installation. I have Styrian cherry wood parquet and will install it floating on an underfloor heating throughout the entire floor. In between, there will be an ewifoam Polyprotect+ foil. The discussion about floating installation on underfloor heating has been sufficiently conducted, but I still will not glue it. My first question relates to the functioning of transition profiles over expansion joints. The profiles I have looked at consist of two parts and are screwed together. I have several rooms where a door and a floor-to-ceiling window face each other. If I screw a finishing profile at the window and a transition profile at the door, then the parquet is clamped in each case and does not expand at all? Am I mistaken? The insulation and vapor barrier foil should each stand up at the wall to protect the wood from moisture from the screed. How is the finish done at transition profiles? Is the foil cut off before the profile (and possibly glued to the floor?) or laid into the profile? Thanks for the feedback. Regards Florian
