Painting 90 sqm by amateurs - what would you estimate?

Do you still have such a clause about final renovations? I thought it hasn’t existed for a long time. Where we are (in my area ;) ), the new tenants do the renovations ... or the landlord himself if he deems it necessary.

honestly? paint it yourselves. 90 sqm are done quickly. I painted my son’s room within one hour. It was 12 sqm. A decent roller and a telescopic pole. Not the cheapest paint and off you go. Prepare everything the evening before (taping and covering) and then start early in the morning. The only nasty part is the ceilings. But you might not need those anyway. One person goes ahead with a small roller and takes care of the corners and edges, as well as the skirting boards. The other follows with the large roller over the area. Our 80sqm living room was painted in about 4 hours.

Do they bring their cleaning supplies? Then that's really cheap.

I would also paint myself. I did that back then and it was even fun. The only thing I learned is, if you had colorful walls before, I would spend a few extra euros and buy white quality paint that covers very well. So it won't need to be painted again. Alpina is sometimes on special offer.

Who puts down the splash guard? It is also time-consuming to tape everything off.

Just for comparison:
96sqm apartment, whitewash Raufaser once, about 20sqm wall surface twice. Holes were already filled, but 2 steel door frames needed spot repairs and 2 small strips of Raufaser (0.5sqm) had to be glued back on. Total surface area of walls and ceilings roughly estimated at 280-300sqm

Material: 160€ for medium-class paint

A professional would therefore take 15 times 40 equals 600,- plus materials for your 96 sqm job. Karsten
