Painted parquet shows strange dark spots upon impacts

Before the repainting it wasn't like that?

My interpretation is (as already said above): the wood absorbed "something" at the end grain ends and has become darker because of it. I doubt that anything can be done about it. Maybe it will change on its own over time ("warp"), but if it's the paint, it will probably stay.

But looking at it from another perspective: I don't find the coloring uncharming. In my eyes it does not look like: "something has gone wrong there". I could live with it well. It has something "natural".

I don't think it's unattractive at all.
With lacquer, it probably won't be possible anymore. In 10 years, sand and oil it again.

If I had money left, I would have it done in my apartment now. When I bought it back then, I didn't know what the difference was, and lacquer sounded more durable. In hindsight, I would have preferred to choose oiled back then.
Now the apartment will be rented out first. In 5 years, I'll see what I do (10-year loan period expires), sell or continue to rent.
