Hello dear house construction forum :)
In the past weeks, we have noticed that the paint is peeling off in many places on the beams and on the gable cladding roof overhang.
My husband said that it is a weather protection paint. (Remmers paint)
The paint is gray and in numerous spots the wood color is showing through.
We completed the construction in 2020 - shortly before handover in summer 2020 it was painted again.
Now the question arises whether this falls under warranty or if we have to bear the costs ourselves?!?
I understand that the wood will have to be painted at some point but already after 2 years? Especially the west (and weather-facing side) could only be properly painted by setting up scaffolding. And that is the worst affected.
I have attached a picture (and this is the side that is not as badly affected :(
We would appreciate a few tips/opinions or preferably an expert statement :)
