Hello everyone,
thank you for your numerous feedback!
But maybe Bauexperte can let you keep dreaming
No, it can't. But that's okay. I didn't come here to dream and I’m not building castles in the air. As described, I first assessed it with my (limited) knowledge and am trying to compare it with reality. Thanks to the forum and also Bauexperte, I have already made some progress.
But that adds up quickly, meter of garden fence about 100 euros or sqm of paving 50-80 euros.
Yes, that adds up quickly. What the material costs in particular are, of course, highly individual. It starts somewhere around 10-12€ at the hardware store and ends ... somewhere else. Whether you have to calculate 100€/m for a fence or 80€/sqm for paving. Well, as I said, individual. The important note is: it’s not just the stone, but also the substructure and the work. That is actually a position I was able to validate first-hand in my personal environment, and therefore I estimate it lower for myself.
In summer you can use it to cool the house. There is also a ventilation system for the whole house, but without a basement.
Opinions differ widely on that. Including the warning about condensation when cooling via the surface heating.
I have hot water via electronic instantaneous water heaters (3 units in the house).
Phew. Instantaneous water heaters are all well and good, but not in a new building, right? I once had such a little device in an apartment, and as a single person I paid about ~40€ electricity a month just for that. And I almost never took baths. At some point I calculated how much a full bath would have cost, and gave up on that...
Another reason this combo is not recommended is the funding opportunities. With KFW 153, at least for the reference value procedure to determine the KFW 55 standard, no alternative hot water supply is allowed. The BAFA (4,500€ grant for geothermal energy) also becomes irrelevant. I can’t imagine that turning down both funding options (these days) would really be economical.
A lot of self-work saves a lot. Well, for me it didn’t depend on time, I was in my own property. It took 2 years until I moved in. But when I see what prices are being called here, I’m quite happy about my decision to do it yourself.
We have completely different ideas about house construction. Therefore, it is difficult for me to apply the content of your post to my situation.
I also have instantaneous water heaters because of the "luxury". Yes, it’s a luxury. I had it before. The shower is set to 36°, and the water always arrives at that temperature. Even if 5 people flush the toilet. It stays 36°. And the little water the 2 of us need is negligible.
We live in a rented single-family house, the bathrooms are very new (including piping, heating system (gas) etc.). We do not have this effect with the toilet flushing here. Apparently, it is solvable even without instantaneous water heaters. The practical thing is that hot water is "unlimited" and almost immediately available. So with guests, after the third shower in the morning, the water does not run out. But the consumption costs that come with that ... The "little" water – as I said, I myself have had very different experiences with instantaneous water heaters even as a single.
