We also have the garden facing east and additionally a lot of window area facing south. There is a flat-roofed house exactly 6.60 m to the south and 6.60 m high, and we already have partial south sun inside the house. In summer, it shines in all day, so we have to shade. From early afternoon then from the west. And in the garden you can always find a sunny spot with us. Only in the afternoon around 2-3 pm does the sun disappear behind our own house and thus puts the terrace in the shade. In the evening, however, you have sun at the back, eastern end of the property. It's not dark at all!!
Almost exactly like with us. Only that thankfully we don’t have south-facing windows, but one facing west and we also have to shade there in summer. And at the very back of the garden I still have a seating area that gets sun until late evening in high summer. Wonderful.
