I am very curious what your complete steel construction provider, whom you contacted, will say about the costs. Be sure to also ask him about ancillary construction costs and what he estimates the total cost will be.

Unfortunately, I still don't see where you intend to save costs.

Again, regarding the passive house: If the garage is part of the house, then it must also be very well insulated. Is it even accessible from the terrace without several steps? There would have to be at least 30cm of insulation on it. Also on all other surfaces. This proposed construction method absolutely does not fit a passive house.

I had noticed that you were aware of the unconventionality of the design, but did not consider it a joke or a test balloon, rather a concept for building on a real plot of land.

Take a look at , , and , whose projects or houses will help you as reference points when gauging the possibilities and costs.

No, "neighbor insertion" means how different your house will appear compared to the surrounding houses — not necessarily alien, but a pitched roof and cubism differ, and Chicago avant-garde is certainly not around every corner in Tyrol.

Every home builder who wants to leave conventional climate paths should keep this in mind: you have to experience the desired technology yourself to say whether it suits you — a thousand opinions and scientific articles cannot replace that. Feelings are subjective, and what is "right" for one may be "wrong" (or at least "not liked") by another.
