Opinions on our floor plan?

Due to border distances; the location of the neighbor’s garage to the west, we first had to choose between 3 fundamentally different floor plan proposals. We decided on the preliminary floor plan posted here. Now the more detailed planning follows, so I thought I’d ask now to possibly incorporate initial feedback right away.

And these three proposals (where did they come from?) were without windows?

That starting with just room layouts is not unusual. But then considering wall thicknesses, chimney positions and partially even furniture but still no windows when differentiating is quite an unusual approach. Well, maybe novel ways lead to novel results.

Were the other two proposals only discarded due to the best neighbor adaptation, or did they also lack other details worth discussing?

The proposals were about the basic orientation of the house on the plot. The development plan prescribes a gable roof and roof direction WO. There was a variant in which the house was rotated 90*, so the long side was in the SN direction. That looked odd because the ridge was then over the short side. Another variant had the master bedroom on the upper floor. And we simply didn’t like a few things about these variants. That’s how we came to this one, which we actually like very much. Then we wanted to bring in other ideas before or rather while the architect continues.
