Online tool to plan (Walm-) roof

For us, the situation with the hip roof and photovoltaic was also somewhat critical. In the end, we still found a quite acceptable solution and managed to get a total of 11.2 kWp on the roof. 4 modules east and 24 modules south. Actually, we still have the option to install another 18 modules on the west side. However, for now, we have decided against it.

We also have a small house with a hipped roof. I think approximately 10.2x8.2m plus roof overhang and 25° roof pitch. We have now covered all 4 sides with 32 modules. Due to the low roof pitch, even the north side is worthwhile.

no knee wall at all? That would be unusually strict. Is that explicitly stated or is it just that no knee wall is mentioned and only that no 2 full stories are allowed.

Regarding knee walls and full stories, the development plan is quite clear: 1.2.1 Roof structures (e.g. cross gables, dormers) and knee walls are not permitted. 2.1.6 One full story is permitted. I once heard a hipped roof would be about 8000 EUR more expensive than a gable roof. Your posting has made me reconsider whether it might actually be a gable roof after all. I also plan to install solar modules on the double carport. It has a southern orientation (not shaded), which would suit photovoltaic modules on an east-west gable roof very well. And yes, you're right: one more module would fit on the trapezoidal side.

Garden floors are in my opinion the mentioned basement floors, there is no basement below that.

Here is a sketch from the development plan: EG, UG, and KG are possible. I had previously referred to UG as “garden floor.”

With our somewhat smaller floor plan of about 9x8m, I would only come up with 22 modules for four sides. Are your modules smaller than 1.1x1.7 meters by any chance? Do you happen to have a photo handy where one can see the photovoltaic system?

Are you allowed to make roof overhangs? Is the sketch just schematic or is there really such a slope?
