Maybe to also capture solar inputs? If I measure in the shade and the sun shines into the house all day through 6 huge glass windows, don’t I have more supply temperature than necessary? Or does he mean on the south side but shaded.

Controlled residential ventilation is not meant to be cost-effective but to significantly increase living comfort, replace manual airing even during absences, keep pollen outside (my wife is allergic) and allow longer sleep during night shifts in the morning with the window and blinds closed, so as not to wake up after 5 hours at 3000 PPM and with headaches. And it does that, more useful than solar thermal energy by far.

Now let's all read again what I have written and think about it...

Outdoor temperature controlled regulation, of course with a temperature sensor in the north. Otherwise, it would be pointless.

AND

A thermostat in the south, meaning in a room inside the house that is located in the south as an additional control variable.

A thermostat and a temperature sensor in the outdoor temperature controlled regulation are two fundamentally different things, that should be clear to everyone.

Why have the boxes drilled at all then? That is also simply a waste of money.

Source?

Have the boxes drilled to satisfy the electrician and the authorities.

The source is not needed - anyone can calculate it themselves.
The heating cost savings through [Kontrollierte-Wohnraumlüftung] amount to at most 1/3 of what you have in a house according to the Energy Saving Ordinance. We currently pay around €55 per month.
Such a system, however, costs more than €10,000, meaning that after at least 545 months or 45.5 years, the system would have broken even.
However, operating and maintenance costs also come into play, which significantly extend the payback period.

Without a doubt, a [Kontrollierte-Wohnraumlüftung] is an incalculable advantage/comfort gain for allergy sufferers or residents of very busy streets!

The rest throws their money out the window.

If two people work 9 hours until 4 pm, who ventilates the house then?
Have you ever slept in the morning in summer in an unventilated, darkened room without air exchange? (3 shifts)

Waking up at 800 PPM instead of 2500-3000 is a blessing for health and not a waste of money.

And if the refrigerator is closed, do you also leave the light on inside? For reassurance: an empty house can stand for nine hours without forced ventilation without sustaining permanent damage.
