I have now received the offer for the floor coverings from my probably executing painting company. Is the price reasonable, or is there still a crucial item missing? It is basically a flat rate offer according to the room schedule, which is why no quantities are listed...

Why vinyl? And why not lay it yourself?

Because I don't want laminate because of impact noise, and I want a company I can hold accountable if I find a defect. Sure, I could slap some laminate into the place myself within a week in the evenings after work, but then I would be responsible for the consequences. I am not keen on installing a floor covering myself or even on applying filler. I still dare to lay laminate flooring as a floating floor, but as I said, the impact noise bothers me with laminate. Besides, I've often heard that with underfloor heating it's better to glue the floor, and vinyl would also be better because of the heat transfer.

Yes, but there are enough click systems that you can simply glue together as a layman. And vinyl is plastic, with plasticizers and other toxins. If you want something good, you are priced at real wood planks. Then I would take those right away.

With a small budget, laminate is the better choice.

Regarding the offer: a professional lays 80m2 of flooring in one day. That means 700 euros labor plus material.

I therefore find it very expensive.

don't let them put you off vinyl

we paid the equivalent of 58€/m² all in, for you it’s 60 if I calculate gross, so if EVERYTHING is included, ok.
