But you are very, very sensitive. We also have Ytong and acoustically it's actually the lowest quality. We have a tiny plot, live on a relatively busy street, and our semi-detached neighbors have a small child. When the windows are closed, you occasionally hear a car, but then it really has to be quiet inside the house. We don't hear anything from our neighbors at all... We tested our music system at the beginning and even at a volume that is personally uncomfortable for me, you don't hear anything at the neighbor's. Outside, minimally. In the neighboring houses, absolutely nothing. Also all with Ytong.
Our plot was completely open after moving in, and especially during rush hour, the noise level on the terrace (other side of the street) was unpleasant. We built a shed along with fence elements and that already helped a lot. Next year we want to expand the inside of the shed a bit and install Styrofoam panels between the wooden beams. That should also help. There is no real solution for this. A hedge will help a little, but won’t work miracles.
