New single-family house - Your opinion/advice is requested

Do people ever read in front of the window? Isn’t it more likely in bed or in the living room? What kind of closet is that supposed to be? I don’t think it’s particularly functional (but maybe I lack the imagination). Do you then always carry the vacuum cleaner up from the basement, as well as laundry, drinks, etc.?

Are you insisting on the dining table in the kitchen? I never had it and never missed it.

I would leave out this table and sensibly connect [Küche-EZ-WZ]. Then you get a nice kitchen and can enlarge the entrance area.

First of all, thank you very much for your comments. Today we had another meeting with our architects and discussed the points.

He is revising the entrance area and the living room. As soon as we have the revised plans, I will upload them here.

Just a quick note: the kitchen and dining area will be separated by a sliding door and possibly the entrance will be moved to the north side and the study will probably be omitted.

since I unexpectedly had a business trip, we have only now managed to take a detailed look at the adjusted plans.

We have now mirrored the basement and left out the study. This allowed us to slightly enlarge the living room (distance between sofa and wall unit) and redesign the entrance area, or rather, now be able to actually use it as such.

Thus, we were able to keep the total living area unchanged and nothing essentially changed on the upper floor, except for the stairs.

What we have also noticed or is still being changed:

- Window strip in the stairwell centered instead of left (if there is no objection)
- 2 windows in the garage are sufficient (the window on the west side is omitted)
- Window in the living room above the sofa is missing in the exterior view

We have now left out the 3rd floor-to-ceiling window/door in the living room, it somehow seems more harmonious.

: it is not a dining table but a counter which, like the rest of the kitchen, will initially be moved as is.
