New Ikea Expedit inserts with door

At the beginning of the year, I bought the inserts with the door and used them without fixed screwing with the Expedit. I simply didn’t want any holes in my side panels in case I wanted to move the inserts later. Recently, I was at Ikea again and got two more. I just unpacked them and am extremely disappointed. The inserts are no longer made of individual boards but from a single piece of thin board that you only have to fold AND now you can’t avoid screwing the whole thing to the cabinet part because otherwise you can’t attach the door. I really think that’s stupid. I will probably throw those things away. Who needs something like that. The old ones were not only more stable but also more flexible to handle.

But maybe someone has an idea how I can get the door on, make the crappy thing more stable, and not have to connect it to the cabinet... :(

I want to give you my full agreement here. The new ones are indeed cheaper, but in terms of workmanship they are simply rubbish. The worst part is when you have installed these things: they do not align with the edges of the compartment, but you always have a gap. Additionally, they are often crooked. IKEA has definitely saved in the wrong place here.
