Hello everyone,

I have already tried Google, but the suitable answer for our specific project was not there.

In short: We want to build a single-family house. A gas heating system is to be installed, but I want to refrain from solar, heat pumps, and the like (please no questions about the meaningfulness).

Here are a few key data:
- Single-family house, approx. 153m^2 living space on 2 full floors + full basement
- 36.5 cm outer wall T10, possibly T9 bricks
- no KFW!
- decentralized ventilation system with heat recovery
- wood stove on the ground floor

Of course, I know that the EEnG requires a certain percentage of consumption to come from renewable energies.

The question now is: Is it enough if I simply sign up for an ECO gas tariff with the supplier under the above conditions, and can I thereby refrain from a solar system, additional insulation, heat pumps, etc., or is a solar system absolutely REQUIRED on the roof?

That it should help to have a planned gas tariff would be new to me.

The wood stove will probably be seen more as a piece of furniture than being credited to you in the ecological balance.

The ventilation system in combination with the insulated brick could possibly bring you the 15% savings. But certainly, something would also have to be done on the roof.

Your structural engineer will answer your questions.

What speaks against solar?

Acquisition costs of nearly 4000€, lots of hot water in summer when we don't need much, and additional technology that can break down.
Since there are only two of us, it will certainly take many years to pay off.

What could "happen" to me if I violate the EEnG? If it is ever checked at all...

Hmm, I actually thought that a final energy calculation is done by an expert.
At least we received a (certified?) energy certificate...
And wasn’t something supposed to be indicated in the building application as well?

The building application is already with the district office, I have not read anything about the planned heating system. It could also be because no KFW funding is intended to be used.
