Couldn’t you get a family-friendly property further outside with a bigger plot for that money? I would gladly do without the comfort of underfloor heating if I had the option to let 3 children plus possible visiting children play unsupervised in the garden where they could play safely.

No, you misunderstand me. In addition to the garden, which would be larger than the one we have, we would have space at the back with the possibility to go out not onto the street but directly onto a bike path. Behind that is a field that is not used and can be played on, but the garden alone with about 18 by 22 meters is already sufficient.
