We had the same information and thought that we definitely had to include solar thermal. But we also said right away that we would prefer to do without it. The energy consultant told us from the beginning that it could be possible but it would be a pretty tight matter. Last Friday he then finished the approval for the application (BZA) for the KfW. The calculated value looks as follows:

Reference building: 67.9 kWh/(m2a)

Our annual primary energy demand: 35 kWh/(m2a)

Hello XeNia,

we also want to build soon and your variant seems very interesting to me (Gas + [Kontrollierte-Wohnraumlüftung mit WRG ohne Solar]). You mentioned that this can be done on your side with more insulation in the roof and floor slab with the appropriate orientation, can you please provide more details (exactly where, how thick and which material, ..)?

Hi XeNiA, since we are entering the final phase with our general contractor after purchasing the plot, I would also be very interested in details about your planning. Although we have not yet had an appointment with the energy consultant, the salesperson of our general contractor says, after consulting with the energy consultant, that an additional solar module would indeed be necessary compared to the usual gas+solar combination.. : Are you already further along with the topic?

Hi,

We are further ahead regarding the heating; it will be gas+ventilation with heat recovery+solar thermal energy. Masonry 20+14.

The whole thing as KfW55.

Unfortunately, there were complications with the KfW financing; we were under time pressure and did not really have the opportunity to discuss again with the energy consultant whether it would also work without solar thermal energy. Maybe you can do that better.

Regards

It should work. My son-in-law has plastered aerated concrete Ytong 36.5; the house is a cubic 1.5-story building, air heat pump Junkers, controlled residential ventilation with heat recovery, no solar on the roof, and it is KFW 55, albeit just barely. But enough is enough to get the 5000,-.

With an air-to-water heat pump, KFW55 is not such a problem due to the better factor. The whole thing with gas presents the challenge here.
