The plot is 17m long and 40m deep?

The property is 17 m wide (street frontage) and 40 m wide at the back (I call it depth).

First of all, the questions are whether you are even allowed to build a bungalow and what the building plot is like.

Could you, for example, place the bungalow far to the back and design the garden/terrace in front of it on the south side? Since, as a rule, the utility room faces north, you have a problem with the garage. Either behind/next to the house means a long driveway (outdoor facilities more expensive), but maybe a connection to the utility room is possible, or in front at the street and thus possibly even a privacy screen for the terrace. However, then you would have no connection to the utility room.

Besides the model home parks mentioned by the construction expert, you can also find lots of floor plans on the internet. I find that great for getting ideas.

Hello Heidi1965, have you meanwhile developed a good idea for your plot or perhaps already built on it? We have a similar plot, 17 m wide towards the street and south side and 50 meters deep. The plot may be built up to 30 meters deep from the street. I would actually like a double parking space directly at the house. Next to the house is possibly too narrow: if you allocate 5 m for, for example, a carport (one-sided boundary construction), after deducting 3 m boundary distance to the other neighbor, only 9 m width remains for the house. If you put the carport in front of the house, you take away space on the south side and always look at it... Thanks for an answer!
