Hello everyone,

we are renovating and were recently at a bathroom exhibition.
I would also like to purchase the selected items there - because I received a consultation - but the prices are so high that I am now looking for another option.
Does it make sense to buy the selected items from an online retailer and have them installed?
What would you advise?
Thank you for your help.
Best regards.

Only if you do the fine assembly yourself and the items bought online match the sanitary objects from the bathroom showroom. The differences – even if the product looks identical – can btw. be very well recognized with fittings. Take a fitting from a hardware store and one from a specialist dealer in your hand at the same time. If you buy the objects online, shipping costs will apply and the hired installers – if you think of your plumbing company – will charge a surcharge because their offer consists of a mixed calculation – material + labor. If one constant drops out of the calculation, it has to be compensated elsewhere. Rhine regards

One must say, if one does not have two left hands, installing a washbasin, faucet, or toilet is really no rocket science. Shower or bathtub is already more complicated.

It is so that exactly the same products on the internet simply cost almost half as much (what a surprise :rolleyes. With 4 bathrooms with, for example, mirrors from Keuco etc., this really hurts...

We immediately crossed out mirrors as well, because they were unaffordable in the bathroom exhibition. The one from the Swedish furniture store is sufficient for now. Everything that can be easily replaced or installed by oneself, I would do myself. But things like the bathtub, shower tray, or concealed fittings I would always have done by a professional.

In the worst case, not having a contracting partner whom you can hold liable for warranty claims surely hurts you more

Rhenish greetings
